چکیده
Objectives: It is aimed to investigate the effect of tourniquet and tranexamic acid (TXA) on amount perioperative bleeding in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty. Methods: One hundred ninety-three included study. The study were divided into 4 groups. Group 1 (n = 78) was determined as patient group with long-term application, but without additional application accepted control group. 2 40) intravenous (IV) TXA applied group, 3 intra-articular 35) short-term (only cementing phase) IV difference between groups according use a during operation, method dose TXA, postoperative blood transfusion, drained blood, length hospital stay, complications investigated. Results: largest Hemoglobin (Hb) Hematocrit (Hct) decreases found (3.39 ± 0.92 g/dl 10.8%, respectively). Also highest drainage (median 350 ml), transfusion (16.7%), stay (mean 4.51 1.07 days) estimated loss 1559.8 ml) (p < 0.05). lowest Hb decrease 2.95 0.68 g/dl) 150 seen 3.89 0.8 Conclusions: shown lead reduction Hct, after surgery, stay. may be good option for

متن کاملTranexamic Acid Reduces Blood Loss and Transfusion in Patients Undergoing Total Knee Arthroplasty without Tourniquet: A Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial
INTRODUCTION Blood loss during and after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) can lead to substantial morbidity and the need for blood transfusions. There are several methods to minimize blood loss and to decrease transfusion rates in patients undergoing TKA. Tranexamic acid is an antifibrinolytic agent with known efficacy for achieving these goals. Currently, many surgeons are performing TKA without ...
